The Beatles - Now and Then

Forever the greatest band that ever was, The Beatles have managed to put out their “last song ever”, despite the long ago passing of both John Lennon and George Harrison. Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr managed to isolate the vocals from an old, unfinished Lennon track utilizing the same technology that Peter Jackson used for his epic documentary on Let It Be, Get Back. Working with producer Giles Martin, son of their late producer George Martin, they’ve put together “Now and Then”, including McCartney playing a Harrison-style slide guitar solo.

Just released as a single with their first song ever, “Love Me Do”, there’s also a Jackson short film about the making of the song, and now a wonderful Jackson-directed video that incorporates candid behind-the-scenes shots from the past integrated with footage of the making of the song.

Now and then, we’ll always miss The Beatles.
