Here’s a 7" appetizer from Chicago-based garage/psych outfit Radar Eyes. The three-or-four piece ensemble (not sure at the moment, there was just a lineup juggle) has a full length LP coming out soon on Hozac Records that should knock your socks off. I’ve been following the band for about a year, seen a few shows, and have always been impressed by the balance of poppy, Ramones-y dittiness and heavier psych flavors.
The two tracks below come from Radar Eyes’ latest 7". It’s a solid A/B combo. You can hear the lighter, more sugary touch on "Miracle" while the B-side, "Me and My Dogs," opens up with some chainsaw go-go guitar and organ for danceable nouveau 60s garage rock blood letting. A little Thick Shakes tang!
