Scanning my Twitter feed one day and some dude I follow is raving about Inca Gold. Like: "If you haven’t heard ’em yet, y’all, get on that shit before 2011 is finished." That’s a paraphrase, but more or less correct. Can’t remember who gave the tip off — my bad — but you will be rewarded with +10 HP in the karmic afterlife.
Inca Gold is self-advertised as drone-pop psychedelia. From what I’ve heard, having trouble justifying the "drone" descriptor. With 2 Neon Marshmallow fests under my belt within the last year or so, my standard for drone these days is pretty intense. But I’ll give Inca Gold "pop" & "psychedelic," hands down. It’s a British band making very British music, so fine tune your expectations accordingly and enjoy!
