Deep in the heart of Nashville, Deep Tropics is set to host their fifth festival August 18-19th. This year, they’re bringing out some of the biggest names within the house and bass music scenes. In addition to the acts coming out, the festival will feature curated artists and workshops to create a sense of community within the festival. One of the most impressive feats of the festival though is that the festival’s goal is to be the “greenest festival in the United States”, it’ll be interesting to see what steps they’re making this year to be climate positive.



FRIDAY, AUGUST 18th

Gorgon City

The electronic duo from England, Kye Gibbon and Matt Robson-Scott, a.k.a. Gorgon City (QRO photos at a festival), will be headlining Deep Tropics fresh off their album release Salvation. Their electrifying set will be sure to leave the crowd wanting more.

LP Giobbi

The Portland, Oregon native and founder of Femme House will be gracing the stage. LP Giobbi is sure to showcase her critically acclaimed first album Light Places. Also known for her Grateful Dead inspired sets, known as Dead House, the crowd will be itching in anticipation to see if she includes any Dead House tracks.

What So Not

The Australian legendary producer and performer, Emoh Instead, is sure to be a crowd favorite at What So Not. His latest single, “Freedom”, is going to be the hype song of the summer. Known for his chart-topping remixes, this will be sure to make the crowd sing-a-long as they’re dancing the night away.

New York based, Bryce Connolly, is known for his contagious beats with eye catching visuals to accompany them. Fresh off his latest single, “Growing Pains:, this will be on display when he appears as Mindchatter at Deep Tropics.

The Norwegian DJ and producer brother duo, Daniel and Markus Slettebakken, will be bringing the energy to Nashville. Known for their electrifying sets, Kream are sure to entrance the crowd with tracks from their latest EP Reverie.

Based out of Austin, Texas the renowned producer Justin Hawkes within the drum & bass sphere will bring the Texas heat to Nashville. His dynamic style is represented in his latest single, Don’t Be Scared.

One of the largest names from the underground house scene, Simon Doty, will be showcasing his gritty sounds from his latest album Universal Language. His set will be sure to transport the audience and have everyone dancing to the music.

His enthralling sounds will have the crowd singing and dancing along the entirety of his set.

The producer and DJ duo  Coco & Breezy(who are also founders of Coco and Breezy Eyewear) consists of identical twins Corianna and Brianna Dotson. Their latest single, “Off My Mind”, captures the essence of their style of incorporating house and island inspiration from their Puerto Rican heritage.
