Blush – Blush

Maura Lynch was part of Brooklyn indie-soft darlings Darlings until the band called it quits in 2015, as well as a later stint with Beverly. Now she teams up with members of Pop. 1280 for her project Blush, which has its own shine on the self-titled debut.

Now, Blush isn’t going to bowl anyone over, with sweet, relaxed sounds like “Labor Days” that glow rather than glare. There is also a country-trot indie-pop vibe to pieces like “Baby Don’t Blush” and “Lunching Alone”.

At only eight tracks, including humming instrumental “Fire Island”, Blush isn’t revelatory, but is very easy on the ears.
