| IDLES, 19:00 – 20:00 Bristol’s young punks IDLES (QRO live review) – even if they don’t like that title – have had two widely acclaimed records, 2017’s Brutalism and last year’s Joy as an Act of Resistance. |

| Main Stage Doves, 20:30 – 22:00 While the Lower East Side hipsters were all rediscovering rock at the start of this century/millennium in New York, Cheshire’s Doves (QRO photos) had never forgotten the brand of driving alt-rock with albums like 2003’s Some Cities. After 2009’s Kingdom of Rust (QRO review), the band went on a hiatus that lasted forever – until an online fan petition for a reunion helped bring them back, including to Bingley and this “Black and White Town”. |

You fell in love with the group (QRO live review) thanks to wonderful 1993 single “Laid”, but they were already part of the ‘Madchester’ scene since the late eighties. The group (QRO live review) went on a hiatus as singer Tim Booth (QRO interview) did solo work, but reunited (QRO photos at a festival) behind a string of great new records, 2008’s Hey Ma, 2010’s The Night Before The Morning After (QRO review), 2014’s La Petit Mort (QRO review), 2016’s Girl At the End of the World (QRO review), and last year’s Living In Extraordinary Times (QRO review). They bring their wonderful live show (QRO live review) back to Bingley (QRO photos at Bingley Music Live ’15). |

| Echo & The Bunnymen, 18:00 – 19:00 Bingley welcomes back (QRO photos at Bingley Music Live ’16) one of the most iconic eighties new wave acts, Echo & The Bunnymen (QRO live review). Perhaps only Joy Division could rival The Bunnymen in sharp darkness on such seminal albums as Crocodiles (QRO live review), Heaven Up Here (QRO live review), and Ocean Rain (QRO live review). They reunited long before today’s alt-reunion craze, and even if 2014’s Meteorites (QRO review) wasn’t on the same level as the classics, this is a classic act (QRO photos at a festival). |

| Miles Kane, 16:45 – 17:30 Former frontman for The Rascals, Miles Kane (QRO photos) has since made his own name (as well as side team-up with Arctic Monkey’s Alex Turner as Last Shadow Puppets – QRO interview), and brings the dancefloor of last year’s Coup de Grace (QRO review) to Bingley. |

| Billy Bragg, 15:30 – 16:15 England’s Billy Bragg (QRO photos at a festival) has been mixing folk & punk about as long as the latter has existed, crafted into protest material. He’s worked with everyone from Wilco – putting folk legend Woody Guthrie’s unrecorded lyrics to music in Mermaid Avenue & Mermaid Avenue Vol. II – to ska-punks Less Than Jake for “The Brightest Bulb Has Burner Out” on 2004’s Rock Against Bush. Lately, he’s been making trouble in his native Great Britain, including advocating Scottish independence and Jeremy Corbyn’s Labour Party, tactical voting, and withholding payment of income tax over bank bailouts. |
