| Shed Seven While the nineties Britpop scene is best known for acts like just-broke-up Oasis & Blur, one of the best groups of then, Shed Seven (QRO photos at a festival), never quite got their due. Thankfully, they’ve reunited, and have kept up the quality, including last year’s reunion record Instant Pleasures, and previously at Bingley (QRO photos at Bingley ’14). |

| Gomez Southport, England’s Gomez (QRO photos) utilize three singers, four songwriters, and a wide variety of instruments, from traditional to electronica, for a new type of alternative music. Their 1998 debut Bring It On won the prestigious Mercury Prize, and though the various members have been doing solo & side projects, they come together for Bingley Music Live. |

| The Lightning Seeds Ian Broudie’s Lightning Seeds (QRO photos at a festival) are best known for their U.K. number one hit “Three Lions” in the nineties, but have since broken up, gotten back together, released 2009’s Four Winds, performed with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic & special guests, and more. SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 1st
| Jake Bugg Catch the overnight Brit sensation, young folkster Jake Bugg (QRO photos at a festival), who hit number one in his native land with his self-titled debut (QRO review), and comes to Bingley Music Live (QRO photos at a U.K. festival) off of last year’s largely acoustic Hearts That Strain. |

| The Cribs Come play the expectations game with The Cribs (QRO live review)! Brothers Gary, Ryan, and Ross Jarman got notice in their native U.K. early on with songs like “Hey Scenesters!”, but it was their team-up with Lee Ranaldo of Sonic Youth on 2007’s Men’s Needs, Women’s Needs, Whatever (QRO review) that got them attention stateside – even if it wasn’t a great album. Then they recruited none other than Johnny Marr (QRO live review with Marr) of The Smiths – stealing from his gig in Modest Mouse – for 2009’s Ignore the Ignorant (QRO review), which was a better record, but still not up to the quality of their latest legendary collaborator. 2011 saw the band – now back just to the brothers Jarman – improve once again with In the Belly of the Brazen Bull (QRO review) and 2015’s For All My Sisters (QRO review). Last year they surprised Britain (QRO live review in U.K.) with the rushed 24-7 Rock Star Shit (QRO review), and now return to Bingley Music Live (QRO photos from Bingley ’13). |

| Public Image LTD John Lydon will always be known first and foremost as Johnny Rotten, lead singer of the foundation of punk, The Sex Pistols. But after their quick flameout, John returned to birth name and formed Public Image LTD, or PiL (QRO live review). The line-ups have changed almost as much as the style (calling them ‘post-punk’ is kind of obvious, but they’ve done everything from experimental to dance), but in 2009 Lydon/Rotten brought back PiL (QRO photos), and has kept on going since then (QRO photos), including at festivals (QRO photos at a U.K. festival). |

| Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds In the nineties, Noel Gallagher (QRO photos) and his brother Liam broke through in a major way, fronting Oasis, the band that defined Brit-rock of that era. They also pretty much defined ‘sibling rivalry’, as the guitarist/songwriter and singer (respectively) seemingly constantly feuded. Their commercial success declined at the end of the decade/century/millennium, with Oasis splitting & getting back together for two better-received albums – before Noel leaving again. Since then, while Oasis-without-Noel Beady Eye failed to impress & broke up, Noel (QRO live review) has found continued/renewed critical & commercial success behind Noel Gallagher’s High-Flying Birds (QRO live review), who come to Bingley Music Live (QRO photos at a festival) with last year’s Who Built the Moon?. |

| Ride Another Bingley act to have worked with Liam Gallagher, when his post-Oasis Beady Eye (QRO photos) broke up in 2014, people weren’t wondering if he’d get back together with brother Noel, but instead if guitarist Andy Bell would reunite with his first band, Ride (QRO live review). Their early nineties output was as essential to shoegaze as anything My Bloody Valentine did, and MBV reunited… And so has Ride (QRO photos), including touring (QRO photos at a festival) and last year’s Weather Diaries (QRO review). |

| Peace Peace (QRO photos at a festival) became the buzz of the U.K. in 2012 with their debut EP, Delicious. With their updated Madchester sound, two tracks (“California Daze” and “Bloodshake”) were named NME‘s “Top 50 Songs of 2012.” Peace’s full-length debut In Love came out in March 2013 to positive reviews, expanding on the soundscapes on Delicious. They come to Bingley Music Live (QRO photos at a festival) years from their breakthrough, with this year’s third full-length Kindness Is the New Rock and Roll. |
