The Mary Onettes – “Naive Dream”

Sweden’s The Mary Onettes, producers of sophisticated twee pop like many of their Labrador Records labelmates, is set to release a seven-track album called Portico: in March. One of the tracks is “Naive Dream”, a steady, mid-tempo ballad put through a wash of hazy, watery effects, which gives it a fantastic rainy afternoon feeling. The other six tracks on Portico: are sure to be as intriguing on one of spring’s finest releases.
