Raider Pride or not, Wax Idols must make it to San Fran on the regular because their sound fits right in with the mini-garage/punk renaissance that’s going on there right now. This is Hunx & his Punx land, Girls land (before they went country), plus tons of other raw & ready bands that I can’t name because I don’t friggin’ live there. All I know is that I’m liking what I’m hearing.
Wax Idols have a full length No Future coming out on HoZac Records, a righteous followup to their smash 7′. Sample a couple of songs below: "Hotel Room" & "Dead Like You." Lead songstress Hether Fortune spits out a mean Bangles-meets-Bikini Kill sound that will have you dancing in your underwear singing karaoke into a plus-sized dildo in front of the mirror. Or at least that was my experience.
