Spend Valentine’s Day with Tove Lo? Don’t mind if I do! The Swedish pop star’s ‘Dirt Femme’ tour touched down at HISTORY Nightclub in Toronto on Tuesday, February 14th, and she effortlessly (re)captured the hearts of the sold-out crowd.
High energy from the get-go, Tove Lo hit the stage like a sexy Viking, clad in gold metallic corset/breastplate (FYI the nipples are prosthetic so please don’t flag the photos!). She opened with “Pineapple Slice” and “Attention Whore” from her latest release, Dirt Femme (Pretty Swede Records), and then jumped back to her gold-selling fan-favorite Cool Girl. The set was heavy on the new album, with w\eight cuts from Dirt Femme and plenty of classics sprinkled throughout, including “Habits (Stay High)”, “Disco Tits”, “Moments”, and “Talking Body”.
Drake’s 2,500 capacity club heated up quickly thanks to opening act Slayyyter, who tossed red roses to her adoring public. The blonde bombshell pop star wasted no time getting the crowd jumping, grinding and shouting along to hits like “Daddy AF”, “Dog House” and “Ms. Belladonna”.
