The Lumineers took the stage on Wednesday night, August 10th, with Daniel Rodriguez and Gregory Alan Isakov on their Summer tour, at Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This was the last Canadian date of their ‘Brightside World’ tour and it was a packed, sold-out show. This event was pushed back multiple times due to the pandemic and everyone was happy to finally see them.
Daniel Rodriguez’s first time being in Winnipeg was a great set. His group is from Nashville including the other two groups. It was a four-piece and played seven songs on this run. Rodriguez and his band have a few more shows on this run of the tour, totally recommend checking out if you’re in the selected dates with them.
Gregory Alan Isakov took stage next, with a great different colour setting on the stage presence in the Canada life Centre. Winnipeg was really jamming to Isakov’s band and singing along to a few of the songs. His band has a few dates left with The Lumineers but is doing a European tour in the fall, be sure to check them out if they are going to your city.
The Lumineers finally hit the stage at 10:15pm, and of course played hit songs from old to the new songs, the crowd enjoyed every bit of it. Everyone was dancing. Hearing The Lumineers play “Ho Hey”, “Dead Sea”, “Slow It Down” and more, your correspondent was having a blast with the crowd at the show. The crowd was getting into the new song by dancing and cheering. Can’t wait for the return back!
