Cro-Mags was the headliner for a sweat- and rain-drenched event at House of Vans (QRO venue review) on Friday, July 29th, with Fucked Up, Screaming Females and Pissed Jeans.

Pissed Jeans played first, opening up the place with a snarly and raging set.  Vocalist Mat Korvette egged who was moshing around in some rather slippery conditions.  Screaming Females played after them, by then the rain had stopped and made the warehouse a humid mess.  The New Brunswick, NJ trio still put on an impressive show.  Screaming Females worked the crowd over with favorites like “I Don’t Mind It”

Fucked Up was next, they started out with a track from newest album David Comes To Life, but then quickly spilling into the older stuff like “Police” and “Son, The Father”.   When singer Pink Eyes jumped into the sweat- and rained-drenched crowd, the audience swarmed up for a massive sing-along, and at one point he brought a portion of the crowd to the warehouse backyard.  Cro-Mags headlined and played material from Age of Quarrel and a few covers including a memorable version of Bad Brains’ (QRO photos) “Attitude”.
