Blondie : Live
Blondie

It was a heated night in the O2 Liverpool Academy on Monday, August 1st, a very hot summer evening in Liverpool, so hot that sweat was dripping from the ceilings; yet Blondie still looked fresh.  66-year-old Debbie Harry looked fantastic in her tiny black pencil skirt, black vest top with a cropped blue shirt.  As one fan asked, “How on Earth did [they] perform at that HEAT and still look wonderful throughout?!?”

Harry’s voice was flawless all the way through the two-hour set, as Blondie performed all of the old favorites and a few tasters of the new album.  Liverpool Academy was a total sell out, the floor rammed with polite fans who enjoyed the retro sounds, favourites including “Maria” and the evening’s closer, “Heart of Glass”

Afterwards VIP guests had the privilege of meeting Blondie at the after party.  Outside there was lots of press hanging around outside, the most dominant being a large BBC van.
