QRO favorite Princeton have been doing intellectual indie-pop in the right way, not getting lost in sweetness or complexity, but balancing all the elements.
Their sophomore release Remembrance of Things To Come comes out on February 21st, but before that comes the title track, which sees the group (centered around twin brothers Matt & Jesse Kivel) grow from the straightforward indie-pop of debut full-length Cocoon of Love (QRO review) to something much larger, with horns and choir-boy style vocals.
Princeton are currently in the middle of a five-week residency in their hometown of Los Angeles at The Bootleg Theater :
1/2/12 – Los Angeles, CA – Bootleg Theater
1/9/12 – Los Angeles, CA – Bootleg Theater
