Singer-songwriter Maggie Lindemann has grown into a name that truly has emerged on our radar following the release of PARANOIA EP in 2021. Since then, we have seen the releases of singles “How Could You Do This To Me” and “Break Me!” in collaboration with powerhouse acts Kellin Quinn and Siiickbrain. At Howard Theatre Washington, D.C. on Friday, April 7th, she performed a few intimate selections of songs primarily off of last year’s SUCKERPUNCH and PARANOIA. Lindemann captured an intimate, emotionally wrought experience that pulls at the heartstrings of any listeners.

With an incomparable sound, there is no need to compare and instead recommend Maggie Lindemann as a listen for those who have remembered into a punk scene, although Lindemann has both consistently had a range in energy across their discography, and shared themes of connection with an overall reflective & cathartic tone.

Standout moments of the night include the live rendition of “You’re Not That Special To Me” and “Casualty of Your Dreams”, through hearing the lyricism, “I’m the casualty of your dreams, because I’m not enough // Honestly, you’re dead to me.” Striking vocal runs paired with fierce instrumentation to accompany,  the audience’s focus never shifted. In every lyric, Lindemann reflects on themes of love and loss that hit a chord with us. Maggie Lindemann is an artist we highly recommend checking more out of!
