Staind and KORN kicked off their Summer tour at the iThink Financial Amphitheater in West Palm Beach, Florida on Thursday, August 5th.
With cooperative weather the evening was all about the music, supplemented with a stellar light show. Staind started things off with “Eyes Wide Open” and a raucous “Open Your Eyes” proceeding seamlessly into “Not Again”. The band played with a renewed energy and spirit as they plowed through the hits and a few not hits.
KORN didn’t disappoint when they took to the stage at 9:15 PM. Jonathan and the boys wasted no time getting to the jams with “Insane”, “Falling Away From Me”, and crowd favorite and sing along “Here To Stay”. As Jonathan strutted around the stage and Brian’s head bouncing as if on a hinge, the hits kept coming and included a seldom performed “Trash” and “A.D.I.D.A.S.”.
This was metal at its best, it’s hard, heavy, neck-snapping best.
