The Arctic Monkeys played an incredible, sold-out show at Forest Hills Stadium (QRO venue review) in Queens on Tuesday, July 24th, in support of their sixth studio album, this year’s Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino. The English rock band has built a cult-like following in their sixteen-year music career and the energy at the show was absolutely exhilarating.
The show kicked off with a hit from the latest album, “Four Out of Five” and then dived into some classic hits like “Brainstorm” and “Don’t Sit Down ‘Cause I’ve Moved Your Chair”. The set was a wonderful mix of classics and songs from the new album, all capped off with a cover of The Strokes’ “Is This It”. A very satisfying show for any indie-rock loving millennial.
